Hey everyone 👋 I've been testing Synthesia's $30/month "Personal" plan for a side project. The price is super attractive, but I'm worried it's a classic "bait" tier with major limitations.
From my tests:
* You get **10 video credits/month** (each credit = 1 minute of video).
* Only **10** of the AI avatars are available, not the full library.
* No **custom avatars** (obviously), but also no **custom voices**.
* The biggest blocker? **No brand kits or templates.** Every video starts from scratch.
For a real business needing even a few short explainers or social clips per month, you burn through credits fast and spend more time on design. It feels more like a "try-before-you-buy" for individuals than a viable biz plan.
Has anyone actually made this work long-term, or did you hit a wall and upgrade? Would love to hear real workflows.
