Spent way too much time on this. Needed a voice for a B2B explainer on supply chain software. Tried 10 of Fliki's "premium" AI voices. Most were awful for this.
The cheerful, upbeat ones sounded ridiculous talking about logistics bottlenecks. A couple had weird pacing, like weird dramatic pauses in the middle of a sentence about inventory forecasting. The "conversational" ones felt unprofessional, like a podcast host, not a corporate vendor.
Only found two that worked. One male, one female, both in the "neutral" category. No weird inflections. They just read the script clearly. But even those sound a bit flat if the script isn't perfect.
The takeaway? The voice library is a minefield. You have to test every single one. The "best" ones in the UI aren't best for serious topics. Huge time sink.
