We were on Sublime Text. Now the whole team is on VS Code. It's slow. Opening files, searching, everything lags. The language server for Python and TypeScript keeps crashing. People are complaining about lost work.
Editor: VS Code 1.91
OS: Mix of macOS and Windows 11.
Key plugins: Python, Pylance, TypeScript/JavaScript, Prettier, GitLens, Remote SSH, Docker. A few others for specific frameworks.
What's the usual culprit? Is it GitLens? Or having too many language servers? Need a lean config for 100 people. Don't want to pay for more RAM.
