Unpopular opinion: The Firebox UI hasn't improved since 2018.

Okay, I'll say it. I've been working with Fireboxes across a few client setups for years, and I'm struggling to see the meaningful UI evolution everyone talks about. It feels like the same foundational interface with a fresh coat of paint every few years.

I came over from heavy Salesforce and HubSpot ecosystems, where the UI philosophy is about streamlining workflows for the end user. With Firebox, especially when trying to trace policy flows or audit logs for compliance reporting, I still find myself clicking through the same labyrinth of menus. The jump from the old "Traffic Monitor" to the new "WebBlocker" views felt more like a relocation than a redesign.

Don't get me wrong—the underlying tech is solid for the price point. But in an era where even networking gear is leaning into intuitive dashboards and automation, the management experience feels stagnant. I spent an hour last week just trying to correlate a simple report on application usage with firewall policies. That's time I could have spent on revenue ops automation.

Am I the only one who feels this way? For those who manage it daily, have you found workarounds or hidden features that actually make the day-to-day config and monitoring smoother? I'm genuinely curious if I've missed a major shift in how to navigate it.
