Starting my first compliance framework with Sprinto. Overwhelmed by the scope. Everyone talks about "mapping controls" but no one says how easy it is to waste months on it.
Biggest lesson so far: don't try to boil the ocean. If you're doing SOC 2, start with the trust criteria you actually need for your size. We almost tried to implement everything for a Type 2 right away, which is insane for a 20-person shop. Also, define what "done" looks like for each control *before* you start assigning tasks. Vague goals just burn time and budget.
