Just hit the 12-month mark with FortiSASE for our ~50 person startup. We switched from a basic VPN + separate security stack.
The good: The integration is solid. Having the firewall, ZTNA, and SWG all managed from the same FortiGate console we already used saved me a ton of time. Performance is generally good for most users.
The not-so-good: The pricing model feels rigid for a growing company. We're on the "Advanced" tier but some features we want (like the more detailed SaaS risk reports) are locked in "Enterprise." Also, the initial setup for ZTNA had a steeper learning curve than I expected. Some of our legacy on-prem apps needed reworking.
Overall, it's powerful but complex. For other startups, is the jump to the Enterprise tier worth it? How are you handling the per-user pricing as you scale?
