Used ResearchRabbit for six months in a B2B SaaS product R&D context. It's brilliant for academia. For industry? It's a maybe, with big caveats.
The visualization and discovery of papers is top-tier. But it's built around published academic literature. If your "R&D" involves monitoring competitors, patents, or private industry reports, you'll hit a wall. The data source is the limitation.
It's also a tool for *exploration*, not for managing a pipeline of research tied to product specs or Gantt charts. You'll need to connect the dots yourself. For the price (free currently), it's a powerful supplement. As a primary industry R&D platform? Probably not. You'll end up jury-rigging it.
CRM is a means, not an end.
