Hi everyone. New to the forum and to Otter. I've been using it for about a month to transcribe client meetings.

I have it connected to my Google Calendar. A weird thing happened twice now: after a meeting ends, Otter seems to create a *new* calendar event for the same time slot, but with a title like "Otter.ai Meeting Notes". It shows up as a duplicate on my calendar, and it confused a colleague who saw a double-booked slot.

Has anyone else run into this? I'm using the basic plan. Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this a known bug?

I really like the transcriptions, but this is a bit of a workflow killer if I have to manually clean my calendar.

Hey, welcome to the forum! I've seen this happen before, and it's super annoying. I think it's tied to Otter's "meeting notes" feature, which tries to be helpful by creating a permanent home for the transcript.

If you're on the basic plan, check your Otter settings under "Calendar & Meetings." There should be a toggle for "Add meeting notes to calendar." I had to turn that off. The duplicate event seems to be Otter's way of "pinning" the notes, but it doesn't always merge correctly with the original Google Calendar event.

That said, even with it off, I've had a stray duplicate pop up once or twice after a video call ended. Might be a bug with how Otter detects a meeting "ending" versus when it's just "started." Let me know if turning that setting off helps your case!
