Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to video editing and just started trying to create short clips from my team's podcast recordings. I downloaded Opus Clip and poked around, but I feel a bit lost. There are a lot of settings (like AI virality score, max/min clip length, etc.) and I'm not sure what a good starting setup is.
I've been searching for a solid beginner's guide or tutorial that walks through the best workflow, but there's a mix of content out there. Some videos seem more like overviews than actual step-by-step guides. Has anyone found a particularly good resource—like a YouTube walkthrough, a blog post, or even a community guide here—that explains things clearly for someone with zero background in this?
For example, I'm curious about:
- What settings tend to work best for a conversational podcast?
- Should I be doing any prep to the audio file before uploading?
- How do you handle the auto-generated captions? The few times I tried, the text wasn't quite right.
I'm coming from a data analysis background (SQL, Excel), so I'm used to clear documentation! Any pointers to a good "Getting Started" resource would be super appreciated. Thanks!
