Alright, I need some hive mind help on this one. I'm a huge Krisp fan—it's been my go-to noise gate for client calls, and I've evangelized it to my whole revops team. But I've hit a weird snag trying to use it in a production environment.
I do a lot of audio work for marketing videos in Ableton Live. Recently, I started running Ableton with Krisp (the desktop app) set as my input device, hoping to clean up my vocal recordings. The problem? I'm getting intermittent audio glitches—tiny dropouts and a faint, digital crackle—that render the tracks useless for professional work. It's not a CPU overload issue (I've checked), and it happens even on a simple project with one audio track.
Here's my setup:

* **Interface:** Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen)
* **Krisp Settings:** Standard voice mode, not the new "studio" one.
* **Sample Rate:** 48kHz across the board (interface, Ableton, Windows sound settings).
Has anyone else tried using Krisp as a real-time audio processor for actual content creation, not just calls? I'm wondering if:
* The "studio" mode might be more stable?
* There's a known buffer size conflict with certain interfaces?
* I'm just asking too much of it and it's really only designed for VoIP packet streams?
I'd hate to ditch it because the noise cancellation itself is fantastic. But these glitches are a dealbreaker. Any other martech/music nerds run into this?

That exact glitch is why I stopped trying to use Krisp as a live input in Logic. It's fantastic for calls, but I think it's introducing buffer latency or processing that just doesn't play nice with a DAW's real-time audio stream. The digital crackle is a dead giveaway.
I'd skip testing studio mode for this and go straight to using your Focusrite as the input in Ableton. Record the raw track first, then run the recorded audio *through* Krisp after the fact. Their app can process audio files directly, and the quality is still great for cleaned-up voiceovers. It adds a step, but it's rock solid.
Have you checked if Krisp is maybe forcing a different sample rate than your interface? Sometimes those virtual drivers do their own thing.
