Just spent an afternoon automating something that was taking our team hours. We use Fireflies.ai to transcribe all our sales calls, and I kept hearing "we need to flag calls where competitors are mentioned."
So I built a Zapier flow that scans Fireflies transcripts and auto-tags the note if specific keywords pop up. Here’s the basic setup:
**Trigger:** New Fireflies.ai recording/transcription is ready.
**Action:** A Filter step by Zapier. The condition checks if the transcript contains any of our competitor names (e.g., "CompetitorA", "BrandB", "SolutionC").
**If condition passes:** It triggers a final step to update the Fireflies note with a custom tag, like "**Competitor_Mentioned**".
Key things I learned:
* Make your keyword list broad but precise—include common misspellings or product names.
* The filter step is crucial to avoid cluttering notes with useless tags.
* You can branch off from here—like sending a Slack alert to the sales manager.
Saves our team from manually reviewing every transcript. Has anyone else built something similar? Curious about other use cases for auto-tagging.
