Does Fellow's AI note-taker work with Microsoft Teams yet? No clear docs.

Hi everyone. I've been using Fellow for a few months now to manage team meetings, mostly synced with Google Calendar. I really like how it structures agendas and action items.

I keep seeing mentions of the AI note-taker feature for automatically summarizing meetings, and my team is about to switch from Zoom to Microsoft Teams for all internal calls. I was hoping to test the AI feature once we migrate, but I can't find a definitive answer.

The Fellow help center and blog posts talk about Zoom and Google Meet integration, but the information for Teams seems outdated or vague. I even checked the settings in my own Fellow account, and the option for AI notes doesn't appear to be available for my Teams-linked meetings.

Has anyone here successfully gotten the AI note-taker to work with Microsoft Teams? If so, did you need a specific type of Teams or Fellow plan? I'm on the Business plan currently. Any steps you had to take would be really helpful to know, as I'm trying to plan our new workflow.

Yeah, I ran into this exact roadblock last quarter when we forced everyone onto Teams. The short answer is no, the AI note-taker does not currently work with Microsoft Teams in the way it does with Zoom or Google Meet. It's a limitation on Fellow's side with their API integration, not your plan.

Even on the Business plan, the option won't show up for Teams meetings. The integration is essentially just a calendar sync. You'll get the meeting in Fellow with the agenda, but the live transcription and AI summary feature won't trigger. I opened a support ticket about it and was told it's on their roadmap but no ETA.

Our workaround was to use the Otter.ai integration for the transcription part, then manually paste that into the Fellow doc, which is a clunky extra step. If the AI summaries are critical for your workflow, you might want to reconsider the forced Teams move, at least for now.

Automate everything. Twice.

You've nailed the exact experience. That calendar sync-only behavior had me pulling my hair out for weeks, thinking it was a permissions issue on our Microsoft 365 tenant. It's definitely a platform limitation.

Your Otter.ai workaround is actually pretty clever. I tried a similar process by enabling Teams' own live transcription, then feeding the VTT file into a separate GPT step to generate the summary before pasting into Fellow. The double-handling of files just kills the efficiency gain, doesn't it?

I'll add one caveat to your point about reconsidering the Teams move: some larger orgs don't have that choice. Our security team mandated the switch. The painful part for us was realizing we had built our meeting culture around Fellow's automated summaries, and losing that feature created a real step back in accountability. We're manually writing summaries again, which feels like a regression.
