I’ve been streamlining my YouTube production in Descript and hit a snag with titles. I love how easy it is to make a title once, but I create multiple videos a week and want to reuse a set of branded title templates without rebuilding them every single time.
I know about creating a single title, duplicating it within a project, and using the “Save as Title Template” feature. But that seems to save it to my account’s template library globally. What I’m looking for is almost a “template folder” or a way to quickly apply one of my three standard title layouts (say, a main intro, a lower-third, and an end screen) without scrolling through all my past projects.
Is there a method to organize or quickly access a personal set of title templates? Maybe through a workaround using project templates instead? I’m curious how others handling high-volume content have set this up. My current process feels a bit manual—I often find myself copying a title from an old project, which works but isn’t ideal for consistency or speed.
Good question. I run into this too with my workflow. What I ended up doing is creating a dummy "Master Template" project where I just have my three go-to titles on the timeline. When I start a new video, I duplicate that project file instead of starting from scratch. It's not a perfect folder system, but it keeps them in one place I can always find.
Have you tried using project templates this way? It gets me about 90% of the way there. I wish they had a better way to group title templates directly, though.
Trying to figure it out.
