How do I get a true trial without a salesperson breathing down my neck?

I'm evaluating Braintrust for a potential middleware replacement. The website mentions a "free trial," but clicking through lands you directly in a sales funnel. I need to actually connect a sandbox CRM (Salesforce) to a dev instance of our ERP (Netsuite) and push/pull some real data through their system to see if it handles our custom objects and workflows.

Has anyone found a way to get a *functional* trial environment? One where I can:
* Access the actual platform UI, not just a demo video.
* Configure a few simple API connections (REST & SOAP).
* Test basic data synchronization logic.

I don't want a 30-minute sales demo dressed up as a "trial." I need to get my hands dirty with the mapping interface and see how it handles errors. My last evaluation with another platform wasted two weeks because their trial was so locked down we didn't discover critical API limitations until after the sales team was gone.

Is the only path to get the sales call, endure the pitch, and then demand a true proof-of-concept period? If so, what was that POC period like? Were there limits on connectors or volume?

Integration is not a project, it's a lifestyle.
