My results after a week: OpenClaw's 'allowed tools' list is too coarse-grained.

I gave OpenClaw a real try for a week on a small project. The "allowed tools" list is broken. It's all or nothing.

I only wanted the AI to check a calendar and read emails. I allowed the Gmail and Calendar tools. But with those enabled, it could also *send* emails and *create* calendar events automatically. That's not what I wanted. I just wanted it to fetch info. There's no way to say "read only" or "write only." So I had to disable the tools entirely. Now it's useless for that workflow.

It needs a permissions system, not just an on/off switch. Until then, it's too risky for anything real. I'm back to manual work.
