Has anyone done a head-to-head on how often each tool updates their SERP features data?

Hey everyone,

This has been bugging me lately as I plan some content around featured snippets and "People also ask" boxes. I'm deep in the weeds comparing Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and a couple of others for a client project. I know they all *say* they track SERP features, but I'm hitting a wall trying to figure out their actual *refresh rates*.

In email marketing, we live and die by fresh data—list hygiene, open rates from *this morning*. It feels like SEO tool data for these dynamic features might be on a different, much slower, cycle. For instance, I spotted a featured snippet in our niche that had clearly changed, but one of the major tools was still showing the old data a full week later. That's a big gap if you're trying to reverse-engineer or track your own rankings for those spots.

Has anyone done or seen a real head-to-head test on this? I'm looking for specifics like:
- How often does each tool actually snapshot the SERP for features?
- Is there a difference in update speed between "Answer Boxes," "Local Packs," and "Image Packs"?
- Do they prioritize updating high-volume keywords over long-tail?

I'd be happy to compile and share any findings here. My gut says the data might be fresher on the enterprise plans, but I haven't seen that confirmed.

Any war stories or benchmarks from your own tracking?

Billy

Always A/B test.
