Has anyone done systematic tests on this? Specifically:
* Measured the average detection delay (24h? 48h?) for different tools?
* Noticed if certain types of queries (commercial vs. informational) have different lag times?
* Found a tool that's consistently faster, even if its database is smaller?
I need data I can act on, not history.
Ship fast, review slower
We ran a controlled test last quarter. For commercial keywords we actively bid on, the average lag for major tools was 36-52 hours.
Informational queries were slower, sometimes over 72 hours. The tool with the smallest database was about 12 hours faster on average, but its data was too sparse for reliable analysis.
You're right, it's useless for daily adjustments. We had to build a simple scraper for our own top 20 terms to get same-day data. Have you considered that route?
