Hi everyone, I'm still pretty new to managing our data stack and I was recently asked to help evaluate our HRIS costs. We use HiBob and our renewal is coming up.
I was hoping someone could share their experience with HiBob's pricing model beyond the core platform. Our sales rep mentioned "optional modules" like advanced analytics and enhanced API access, but the quotes are... vague. The line items just say "Module A" or "Add-on Support Tier." I'm nervous about agreeing to something that will lock us into unexpected costs down the line, especially since our data team builds pipelines off their APIs.
Specifically, I'd be grateful if anyone could shed light on:
* What the actual incremental cost looks like for the "advanced analytics" or "data warehouse sync" modules. Is it a per-user fee, a flat monthly add-on, or based on data volume?
* For the enhanced API support, does that just mean a higher rate limit, or are there actual SLAs for data freshness that impact our ETL schedules?
* Any hidden implementation or professional services fees that popped up when you added a module?
I'm trying to build a clear picture for our finance team. Even anonymized ranges or percentages would be incredibly helpful. For example, was the advanced analytics module an additional 20% on top of the base cost? 50%?
Thanks for any guidance. I don't want to be the one who signs off on a contract that breaks our data pipeline budget because I missed a fine-print clause about API call overages.
