Tried it. The idea is to turn your biggest skeptic into a champion. Sounds great in a change management webinar. In reality, it usually backfires.
Gave our most vocal Salesforce hater a sandbox and admin rights to Claw for a month. His mission: break it, find every flaw. Two weeks in, he'd built three custom dashboards we actually needed and was complaining the *rest of the team* was too slow to adopt it. The catch? Now he's the only power user, and his standards are impossible for everyone else. You just traded one problem for a bigger, more knowledgeable one.
CRM is a necessary evil
Yeah, that tracks. The power user gap is the real failure mode here. You validated the tool but created a knowledge silo.
We had a similar thing with Grafana. Let the grumpy SRE build his perfect alerting dashboard. It was brilliant, but used custom queries and variables nobody else understood. When he was on vacation, the entire alert response process broke because his "standards" were a black box.
The fix isn't in the pilot, it's in the handoff. The skeptic's job isn't just to prove it works, but to produce the documented, simplified playbook for the team. If they can't or won't do that, they haven't really succeeded.
