Okay, so I'm still the one who Googles things the team probably already knows 😅. But I actually managed to get a real budget for a POC on a new landing page builder! I was shocked.
I basically turned my "what if..." into a tiny, non-scary experiment first. I built a super rough version of one landing page in HTML (my one solid skill!) and ran a free-tier A/B test for a week, just on our internal team's traffic. The data was messy, but it showed a tiny click-through bump.
Then I made a single Google Slide. Slide 1: Here's the janky thing I made. Slide 2: Here's the 2% improvement. Slide 3: Here's what a *real* tool could do (with screenshots). Slide 4: The ask: "Can I spend [small amount] for one month on a proper tool to test this for real?"
Calling it a "step-by-step" feels fancy. For me, it was just: try it free first, show *any* result, and ask for the smallest next step. They said yes! Now I just have to not mess up the actual POC part...
