Hello everyone,
I recently joined a mid-market SaaS company as their first marketing operations hire. One of my first tasks was to oversee a migration from Pardot to HubSpot, which was already in progress when I arrived. Now that we're live on HubSpot, I'm trying to build a balanced, internal view of the switch. I'd like to understand the trade-offs from others who have experience with both platforms in a similar company size context (roughly 500 employees).
My initial observations are that HubSpot's all-in-one CRM and marketing automation feels more cohesive for sales and marketing alignment, while Pardot's deep Salesforce integration felt more powerful but also more complex. However, I'm particularly interested in some specific functional comparisons.
Could anyone share detailed insights on a few key points?
First, lead scoring and grading. In Pardot, the model felt very configurable but also siloed. HubSpot's seems more adaptive but perhaps less granular. How do the two compare for a sophisticated, multi-touch campaign approach?
Second, email deliverability and reporting. We've seen good inbox placement rates so far with HubSpot, but I'm curious about direct comparisons on things like engagement tracking accuracy and spam filter navigation.
Finally, the handling of complex, multi-stage nurture programs. Pardot's Engagement Studio was quite visual, whereas HubSpot's workflows are powerful but different. For a team that runs many long-term nurture tracks, what are the notable differences in setup, management, and performance reporting?
I want to make sure our team is leveraging the right strengths of our new platform and not missing any significant capabilities we had before. Any detailed, side-by-side observations would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks!
