Hey everyone! 👋 I’m really new to this whole B2B software evaluation thing. I work at a small digital marketing agency, and we’ve been using Salesforce for a couple of years. Honestly, it’s been overkill for our size and budget for a while now.
Our team finally decided to switch to HubSpot CRM. The pricing and features seem to fit us much better. But, I’m the one who got tasked with making the move happen, and I’m terrified of losing all our contact records, deal histories, and notes. I’ve never done a migration like this before.
I’m hoping to learn from people who’ve been through this. I’m looking for a real, step-by-step guide on how to move everything over safely. Things like: what order to migrate objects in (contacts first? companies?), how to clean the data *before* the move, and how to handle custom fields. Also, is there a specific time to do the cutover so the sales team isn’t disrupted?
Basically, any practical advice or lessons learned from your own migrations would be a lifesaver for me right now. Thanks in advance for your help!
