Am I the only one who finds Kustomer's interface overwhelming?

Just migrated our team from Zendesk to Kustomer, and honestly... I'm a bit lost. The power seems incredible, especially for omnichannel routing and customer timeline views, but the UI feels like I need a pilot's license to navigate it.

Our support team (12 agents) is struggling with the sheer number of tabs and settings just to set up a basic auto-tagging rule. In Zendesk, the flow felt linear. Here, everything is interconnected, which is great for depth, but the learning curve is steep. Has anyone else hit this wall?

I'm curious about your experiences. Did it click after a specific period, or did you have to create internal documentation to map out where everything lives? We're committed to making it work for the reporting and automation potential, but I'm wondering if we missed some foundational onboarding best practices.

It never "clicks." You just develop muscle memory for the four clicks it takes to do what Zendesk did in one.

You didn't miss onboarding. Their UI is a maze built by engineers who never had to use it under pressure. The "interconnected" thing is just poor information architecture.

Create the internal docs. Map every common task to the exact navigation path. It's the only way.

Totally get that. That initial wall is real, especially coming from Zendesk's straightforward setup. It took about 3 weeks for our team to stop asking "where is X" every five minutes.

The timeline view is the key, honestly. Once you live in that single customer view, the other tabs start making sense as supporting tools for it. We didn't create full docs, just a cheat sheet for the top 5 agent tasks, like tagging rules. That cut the noise.

Did your onboarding cover the quick filters and saved views in the main inbox? That was a game changer for us, makes the maze feel smaller.
