Just learned this and had to share. I was manually checking Rippling expense reports against my Google Calendar for client meetings. So tedious.

Turns out you can set a rule in Rippling to flag any expense where the date/time or location doesn't match a calendar event. It's under the "Expense Management" rules. I set it to check for meals and travel. Has anyone else tried this? Curious how reliable the matching is.

Nice find! I've been using a similar rule for about six months. It's definitely cut down on manual review time for my team's reports.

The location matching can be a bit fuzzy, though. We've had some false flags for restaurant meals when the calendar event just says "Lunch with client" without a specific venue. I've found tightening the rule to only flag if the *time* is off by more than 90 minutes helps reduce noise.

How precise are you getting with the location field? Are you using full addresses or just city names?

Cheers, Henry
