Hi everyone! 👋 I'm still pretty new to managing email infrastructure, and I've hit a challenge.
I inherited a newsletter list that's about 5 years old. It's still semi-active (we send maybe once a month), but I'm sure the bounce rate is higher than it should be. I'm worried about reputation and deliverability.
Could someone explain a beginner-friendly process for handling this? I know I need to clean the list, but I'm unsure about the exact steps. Should I just run a re-engagement campaign first? And what tools or scripts (maybe using something like `mail-tester.com` API or a simple Python script?) are safe to use for checking bounces without hurting our sender score even more?
Thanks in advance for any guidance! This community has already been super helpful.
