I'm looking into Veracode for our team. We're a small startup building a web app, and our CTO is pushing for better security scanning.
I've read the marketing, but I'm curious about the day-to-day reality. How effective are the policy management features? Do they actually help enforce standards without being a bottleneck?
More importantly, the fix recommendations: are they clear enough for developers who aren't security experts? Or do they just point to a problem and leave you to figure it out? Any examples of what a typical recommendation looks like would be really helpful.
