Hi everyone. I’m fairly new to managing security at this level, so I’m hoping for some real-world advice.
My team is mostly on Macs (a mix of M-series and some older Intel machines), and we’re evaluating Sophos Intercept X as our endpoint protection. I see a lot of reviews and discussions, but they seem heavily focused on Windows environments.
I’m nervous about pushing this into production if the Mac experience isn’t as solid. Could anyone share if you’re actually running it on Macs in a live setup?
I’m particularly curious about:
- Does it feel heavy or noticeably impact performance on everyday tasks?
- How is the admin experience for managing Mac policies compared to Windows ones?
- Any issues with silent installs or updates breaking things?
We use Jamf for MDM, and I’ve read there’s integration, but I’d love to hear if it’s straightforward in practice. We’re a small marketing team, so I don’t have a huge IT department to fall back on if something goes wrong.
