Hi everyone. I'm coming from the data engineering side, trying to understand network security for our cloud data flows. Our mid-sized retail company is evaluating SASE.
We have stores sending sales data to our cloud data warehouse. I need to make sure these ETL pipelines are secure but also performant for near-real-time reporting.
I'm looking at Palo Alto Prisma Access and Versa Networks. My main concerns are:
* Securing connections from hundreds of store locations and remote analysts.
* Minimizing latency for data ingestion, as delays affect inventory dashboards.
* Simplicity of policy management, as our IT team is small.
For those who have deployed either in a similar retail or data-heavy environment, what was your experience? Were there any surprises with performance or managing application policies for data services like Snowflake or BigQuery?
Building my first pipeline.
