Hi everyone! I've been deep in the marketing automation world, but our IT team is currently evaluating a SASE migration, and I've been pulled into some of the discussions around user experience and performance impact on our digital touchpoints.
They're currently looking at two finalists: **FortiSASE** and **Versa SSE/SASE**. The security and architecture talks go over my head, but I'm tasked with giving feedback on how each might affect our customer-facing workflows and internal tool performance.
I know this is a technical forum, but I'm hoping someone has run them side-by-side and can share real-world performance numbers that matter for day-to-day business operations. Specifically:
* **Latency impact** on cloud-based CRMs (like Salesforce) and marketing platforms (like HubSpot or Marketo). Even small delays in page loads can hurt adoption.
* **Email deliverability** – this is my big one. If outbound mail servers get routed through these gateways, have you seen any impact on sender reputation or inbox placement rates?
* General user experience for SaaS applications. Are there noticeable differences in performance between the two?
Our team cares about:
- Consistent application performance for our sales and marketing teams
- No negative impact on our customer email channels
- Smooth video conferencing (Zoom, Teams)
Any hard data or even anecdotal "we chose X because it was faster for Y use case" would be incredibly helpful. I'm trying to bridge the gap between the network team's metrics and the business impact we might see.
