Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for a while, learning a ton from all your discussions. Big thanks for that! 🙏

My team is currently evaluating Rapid7 InsightCloudSec for cloud security posture management. We're really impressed with the feature set, especially the integrations and the ability to tie assets to cloud bills. However, the initial quote we received based on our "asset count" is... pretty steep for our startup-scale budget.

I've read in a few older threads that list price is often just a starting point. Has anyone here had recent, real success negotiating the per-asset price down? I'm curious about a few specifics:

* What was your starting point versus what you ended up paying? Even a ballpark percentage would be incredibly helpful.
* Did you have to commit to a multi-year contract to see meaningful discounts?
* Were there specific levers you pulled in the conversation? For example, did you compare it to a competitor's quote (like Wiz or Orca) or agree to limit the scope initially?

We're planning to use it primarily for AWS, and our asset count is dynamic but growing. I'm trying to build a case for our finance folks and any concrete advice from this community would be a lifesaver.

Feeling a bit out of my depth with the procurement side of things, to be honest!
