Does it truly require zero installation of any software or daemon on the cloud assets (like our VMs, containers, or databases) that we want to scan and monitor? Or is there some lightweight component that still gets deployed?
I'm cautious because we've had issues in the past with security tools that promised easy setup but then required complex agent deployments that conflicted with other software. Our budget also leans towards solutions with predictable operational overhead.
Could someone with hands-on experience explain how InsightCloudSec actually connects to and assesses resources in, say, AWS or Azure? If it's truly zero-install on the assets themselves, how does it get the depth of data needed for vulnerability assessment and compliance? Any gotchas or hidden "agent-like" elements would be really helpful to know about before we proceed.
