Unpopular opinion: Their API rate limits are too low for large-scale automation

Hey everyone! Been using InsightCloudSec to automate security checks across our cloud environments, and I've hit a wall with their API.

I'm trying to sync asset data into our CRM for lead scoring and team alerts, but the rate limits feel really restrictive. For larger setups, it throttles my automation scripts and causes delays. I was hoping to build more real-time workflows, but now I'm batching jobs overnight 😕

Has anyone else run into this with bigger accounts? Curious if there are workarounds or if you just live with the pacing. Love the tool overall, but this part is a bit frustrating for scale.

Oh wow, I'm just starting to look at API stuff for our smaller team. Hearing this is a bit worrying. Is it a problem even with their higher-tier plans, or is it just a hard cap for everyone? Makes me wonder about scaling later.

Still learning.

Yeah, I hit the same wall when trying to pull data for nightly compliance reports last quarter. Their limits are frustratingly low for any real-time use case.

A workaround that helped me was implementing a hybrid pull - I check their webhook alerts for critical issues and only use the API for deeper dives on those specific assets. It cuts down on requests a bit, but you're right, for large-scale syncs you end up batching. It feels like the limits are set for dashboard queries, not true automation.

Have you talked to your account manager? Sometimes they can temporarily bump limits for specific projects if you show them the workflow.

Show me the accuracy numbers.
