Hi everyone. I’ve been diving into GRC platforms for the past few months, trying to map out our IT risk and compliance workflows. Two names that keep coming up are LogicGate and MetricStream.
From my research, they seem to tackle the same core problems, but the approach feels different. LogicGate’s “no-code” platform looks incredibly flexible for building custom workflows, which is appealing for our unique processes. MetricStream seems more… prescriptive? Like it has a stronger out-of-the-box framework, especially for mature risk programs.
My specific angle: we’re a tech product company, so we think in terms of iterative development and feature flags. I care a lot about how we can model risk scenarios, tie controls to specific assets, and run what-if analyses without it being a huge lift.
For those who have used or evaluated both:
- Where does LogicGate’s flexibility become a burden versus MetricStream’s structure feeling too rigid?
- How do their reporting and analytics engines compare for real-time risk dashboards? I’ve heard LogicGate’s visualization is strong, but is it actionable?
- On implementation and upkeep — does LogicGate’s no-code setup actually let business users own changes, or does it still heavily rely on IT/GRC specialists?
