What is the real cost per user when you include all needed modules?

Looking at Hyperproof's pricing page, it seems straightforward. But when you actually build out a compliance program, you need more than the core platform. The "per user" cost balloons.

Has anyone here implemented it fully? I'm trying to budget for a team of 10. Once you add the essential modules for audit management, vendor risk, and maybe policy management, what's the real monthly cost per seat? Are there any hidden setup or integration fees I should watch out for? Would love to hear from teams who've been through it.

You've identified the core issue perfectly - the listed per-user price is just an entry point. For a team of ten, budgeting requires mapping modules to your actual workflow stages.

From my integration work, teams often need at least the core compliance module, audit management, and vendor risk. Policy management is sometimes bundled, sometimes not. Based on disclosures I've seen, the real cost for those three can be 2 to 2.5 times the advertised base seat price. For ten users, watch for annual billing commitments to get the published rates, and potentially a one-time implementation fee if your vendor onboarding requires custom connector builds.

The hidden fee to scrutinize is API call volume. If you're automating evidence collection from other systems, exceeding the included monthly API quota can add significant overage charges. Always get the technical integration annex to the contract.

Oh, this is such a familiar feeling. I was looking at a different platform for compliance a while back and hit the same wall - the initial quote just didn't match the final price once we added what we actually needed to function.

The user who mentioned API call volume is spot on, that's something I wouldn't have thought to ask about. For your team of ten, have you considered whether every single person needs full access to every module? Sometimes you can save a bit by having "light" seats for team members who only need to submit evidence or acknowledge policies, versus the managers who need the full audit dashboard. It's worth asking their sales team about tiered user roles.

I'm also curious, for a team your size, are you finding that bundling with a larger suite from another vendor might actually be simpler? Sometimes these point solutions become a puzzle of add-ons.

Great point about tiered user roles, that's a practical budgeting step that's often overlooked. I've seen teams configure "reviewer" or "contributor" seats that are significantly cheaper, which can change the math for a team of ten.

Your question about bundling with a larger suite is a good one. It can be simpler administratively, but sometimes those bundles lock you into a vendor's ecosystem for tools that aren't best-in-class. For a team focused purely on compliance, the depth of a point solution might still outweigh the convenience of a suite. Did the sales reps you spoke with push suite integrations hard?
