Hey everyone, I'm new here and trying to wrap my head around EDR options for our company.

We're about 500 endpoints, all Windows. I've seen a ton of praise for both Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and CrowdStrike Falcon online, but it's hard to find direct, real-world comparisons for a setup our size. Everyone talks about features, but I'm stuck on practical stuff.

Could anyone share real numbers or experiences on things like:
- Actual admin overhead per week for each?
- Impact on endpoint performance (CPU/RAM) you've measured?
- Rough total cost for 500 seats, not just list price?
- How is the alert fatigue? Are you constantly tuning?

We're already using Microsoft 365 E5, so MDE seems like the obvious bundled choice, but I keep hearing CrowdStrike is the gold standard. Is the difference big enough to justify the extra complexity and cost?

Thanks in advance!

Still learning.
