We're evaluating our DDoS protection for the upcoming holiday season. Our current Radware on-prem solution works, but scaling it for unpredictable e-commerce traffic is a constant hardware battle. Cloudflare's cloud model seems like it would handle that better.
I'm looking for real-world comparisons on detection and mitigation for layer 7 attacks, specifically for retail. Radware's behavioral engine is good at spotting sneaky cart/checkout abuse, but I'm not sure if Cloudflare's WAF rules and rate limiting can match that. Has anyone moved from a dedicated appliance like Radware to Cloudflare at this scale?
