We're a small finance startup (under 50 people). Need to lock down internal web apps (like our accounting software and reporting dashboards). Looking at Cloudflare Access and Okta's Access Gateway (ASM).
Key factors for us:
* **Cost:** Cloudflare Access is $7/user/month. Okta starts at a much higher org-wide fee. The pricing difference is massive at our scale.
* **Setup:** Zero-trust vs. traditional SSO. Cloudflare uses their network; Okta needs an agent in our infra.
* **Maintenance:** We have no dedicated IT. Can't manage complex on-prem connectors.
Real trade-off:
* Cloudflare is cheaper and simpler to deploy for cloud apps.
* But Okta might be better if we already use it for HR provisioning and mobile SSO. We don't.
Anyone run a finance/ops team on Cloudflare Access? Specifically:
* Any audit trail concerns for compliance?
* How's the user experience for non-tech folks?
* Did you hit any hard blockers with specific financial SaaS tools?
