Just started the trial for Black Duck. We're about 50 devs, mostly Java and Python.
The sign-up was a pain. Had to talk to sales before I could even see a price. Then they wanted a "quick call" to "understand our needs." Took three days just to get a login.
Now I'm in. The UI is heavy. Scans are slow. The per-developer pricing they quoted seems high for what you get. Feels like we're paying for a bunch of enterprise features we don't need.
Anyone else at this scale using it? Is the value actually there, or are we better with a cheaper scanner and just managing the CVE lists ourselves?
