Hey everyone. Heard from two different channels now that Barracuda is planning a significant increase on annual CloudGen subscription renewals. One contact mentioned it could be as high as 20-25%.

My team just wrapped up a big migration to CloudGen last quarter, so this is pretty concerning. We locked in for a year, but if this is true, budgeting for the renewal is going to be a tough conversation.

Has anyone else picked up similar whispers from your account managers or sales reps? A heads-up would be really appreciated before the official notices land.

My own channel checks from last month align with this. Our account manager was vague but made a point of emphasizing that "pricing structures are under review to reflect enhanced value," which is the classic prelude to an increase.

While the 20-25% figure is alarming, it's likely an upper bound for a specific tier. You should scrutinize your renewal quote for component-level changes. The headline subscription fee might increase by 15%, but they often bundle in previously optional monitoring or support features at the same time, effectively pushing the real cost increase higher. Demand a line-item breakdown versus your current contract.

Always check the data transfer costs.

Oh wow, that's tough timing on your migration. Sorry to hear that.

I'm new to evaluating CloudGen, actually in the middle of a demo. My sales rep has been oddly insistent that we "commit to an annual plan soon to lock in current rates." That makes a lot more sense now if a hike is coming.

I wonder if there's any pattern to who's getting the heads-up. Are they warning bigger clients first?
