Made the switch because Banyan's marketing made it seem simpler for our small team. We needed just a few internal apps secured.
It's not simpler. The setup is more opaque than Cloudflare's. The policy model feels heavy for what we do. The biggest issue is the device requirements. With Cloudflare, a simple browser check often worked. Banyan pushes their connector hard, which is another agent to manage. The cost didn't justify the extra complexity for us. We're re-evaluating already.
