We've been running Appgate SDP for about a year now, after switching from a traditional VPN. I'm mostly on the business side, so my view is from working with the security team during the rollout and now using it daily.
Overall, it's been solid for securing access, but the user experience has some rough edges. The biggest win is the fine-grained access control; developers only see the servers they need. The biggest headache was the initial client setup and some confusing policy logic.
I'm curious about others' experiences, especially with:
- How you handled onboarding for non-technical users?
- Any unexpected costs after the initial licensing?
- Did you integrate it with other SaaS tools for auditing?
