Just enabled Prolexic on our primary network prefix last week. The DDoS protection is solid, no doubt—we've already seen it scrub some junk traffic.
But we're now getting random BGP session drops with one of our transit providers. The session to the Prolexic scrubbing center is stable, but our edge router's session to our provider flaps a few times a day since the cutover. Support says it's not on their end, but it only started after the Prolexic onboarding.
Anyone else run into this? Specifically:
- Did you have to adjust BGP timers (keepalive/hold) on your edge?
- Any specific route filter changes needed that aren't in the standard guide?
- Was it a provider-side config issue they had to fix?
Trying to figure out if this is a common hiccup or something weird with our setup.
