Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a while, reading reviews before making the jump. I'm relatively new to managing a team's security tools, and after a lot of research, we decided to move our team of 25 from Keeper to 1Password Business about three months ago. The consensus online was overwhelmingly positive, but now I'm honestly feeling a bit misled and frustrated.
My main issue is with the user behavior tracking and reporting. In Keeper, the admin reports felt more immediate and granular. I could see adoption metrics in a way that directly tied to our security posture. With 1Password, the **Activity Log** and insights feel abstracted. It tells me *something* happened, but piecing together a user's actual workflow to see if they're using features securely feels much harder. For a team that cares about analytics, it's surprisingly opaque.
Also, the groups and permissions structure is tripping us up. In Keeper, assigning someone to a shared vault and setting permissions felt straightforward. In 1Password, the interplay between "Groups," "Vaults," and "People" has led to a few situations where someone didn't have access they needed, or worse, had too much access temporarily. It might be more powerful, but the learning curve has caused real friction during onboarding.
I guess my question is: for those of you who use 1Password Business, especially for product analytics where you care about detailed user journeys and adoption, how do you get the clarity you need? Are we just not looking in the right place? The UI is beautiful, but I'm starting to wonder if we traded functionality for polish.
