Hot take: All CRM vendors count 'seats' differently to make comparisons impossible.

Just tried to compare three major vendors. Their "pro" tiers are all roughly the same price per seat, right? Wrong.

* Vendor A: A "seat" is any named user. Need a manager to just run reports? That's a seat.
* Vendor B: "Full users" are seats. "Light users" for viewing dashboards are half-price. Sounds fair until you need 10 "light" users and realize you've bought 5 phantom "full" seats you don't use.
* Vendor C: Seats are based on "login frequency." Inactive for 30 days? They'll *deactivate* the seat, but you're still paying for it under your annual commit.

Suddenly, a $50/user/month platform is $75 or $100. The base price is a fiction. What other counting 'methods' have you seen? Let's list the creative accounting.
