Hi everyone! I'm new to this whole software buying process, so please bear with me if my questions are a bit basic.
Our company is planning for next year, and we're finally ready to move on from our patchwork of spreadsheets and basic tools. We're a 50-person marketing team (mostly content, demand gen, and product marketing) looking for a proper CRM. The two names that keep coming up are HubSpot and Salesforce. I've read a lot of the high-level stuff, but I'm really struggling with the practical, day-to-day differences for a team like ours.
Could someone help break down what it would actually feel like to use each platform? For example:
* How easy is it for our content team to build landing pages and forms, and then see who interacted with them?
* Our main goal is connecting marketing efforts directly to sales pipeline. Which one makes that handoff smoother without a ton of custom setup?
* I keep hearing about "admin complexity." For a team with no dedicated CRM admin, how much internal work are we really looking at with each option?
Budget is a factor, of course, but we're more worried about picking the right tool that we'll actually use. The sales team is small and currently uses a different system, so our main focus is empowering the marketing team first and foremost.
Really grateful for any insights you all can share from real experience. 🙂
