Has anyone run a blind test on CRM automation triggers?

Yeah, the null audit is exactly where to start, but you can be smart about it. Instead of every field, just profile the fields actually referenced in your active automation rules. I wrote a quick script to pull all trigger logic and extract field names, then ran it against a sample of live data to get null rates.

It gets tricky when you have calculated fields or dependencies, though. A null in a parent object might cascade and break a rule you thought was safe. Found that out the hard way during a Salesforce to HubSpot move.
