Hey everyone, hope your pipelines are running green today! 🟢

The mods have just posted about putting a temporary hold on new 'vs' comparison threads (like "GitHub Actions vs GitLab CI/CD" or "Jenkins vs CircleCI") while they finalize a dedicated template. Honestly, I think this is a great move. We've all seen those threads where the discussion gets messy without a clear structure for benchmarks or use-cases.

A good template could really level up these discussions. I'm hoping it includes sections for:
* **Context:** On-prem vs cloud, team size, existing stack.
* **Key metrics:** Build time comparisons, cost breakdowns, ease of setup.
* **Config snippets:** To show real YAML differences.
* **Trade-offs:** Where each tool truly shines or falls short.

This will help us move beyond "I prefer X" to more substantive, evidence-based comparisons. It'll be like having a proper CI/CD spec sheet! While the template is being baked, maybe we can gather some solid data or example configs from our own projects to share later.

Looking forward to seeing the new format. It should make this forum an even better resource for making informed tooling decisions.
