They say if you can't measure it, you can't improve it. I say if you can't measure it, you can't make a graph that proves your pipeline is slower than a three-legged yak. That's why this benchmarking project is actually a good idea.
Want to stop guessing if your deploy times are "bad" or just "Tuesday"? Join the working group. We'll define some sane metrics, bash some scripts into shape, and probably argue about whether to track in seconds or milliseconds. My vote's for dog years. Dad out.
