Hi everyone! 👋 I'm pretty new to this whole B2B software buying thing, and I'm trying to navigate it for our small startup. We've been trialing Mixpanel, and while we like a lot of it, the pricing is starting to feel a bit steep for us as we grow our event volume.
I keep seeing Amplitude and Heap come up as the main alternatives in every article, but I'm curious if there are other options out there. Our stack is pretty simple—we're a web app—and we really just need to track user journeys, feature adoption, and do some funnel analysis. Nothing too crazy complex yet.
What I'm worried about with pricing is the "per seat" or "per million events" models. Are there tools that are more startup-friendly, maybe with a clear, predictable flat fee for smaller teams? Or ones that don't charge extra for things like data retention or exporting our own data?
