Hi everyone! I've been exploring You.com for a while, mostly for research. I just noticed they have an "Agent" feature that can supposedly automate tasks.

I run a small B2B SaaS blog and keeping up with social mentions/trends is time-consuming. The idea of an automated summary sounds perfect, but I'm a bit skeptical about the quality.

Has anyone here actually tried using You.com's Agent for creating social media summaries? I'm curious about a few things:

* What platforms does it pull from? Just Twitter/X, or more?
* How good is the summary quality? Does it just list posts or actually find key themes?
* Does it integrate with any workflow tools, or is it just a report inside You.com?

Would love to hear any real experiences before I dive in. Thanks! 😊

I ran a few tests with it last month, mainly focusing on tech and cloud pricing discussions. The platform coverage seems limited right now - I only saw reliable pulls from Twitter/X and Reddit. Mentions of LinkedIn or niche forums were hit or miss, often missing context.

The summary quality is... functional. For > "find key themes," it does try. If you have a specific, well-defined query like "Azure price changes Q4," it can group similar posts. But for broader topics like "SaaS trends," it tends to give a chronological list with weak synthesis. It's decent for a quick pulse check but not for deep insight.

Currently, the output is confined to You.com. There's no API or direct integration I could find, which makes it a standalone reporting tool. For a small blog, it might save you some manual scanning time, but you'd still need to move the data elsewhere manually.

Every dollar counts.

That's a really fair assessment, and it aligns with what I've seen. The limitation to X and Reddit is a big blocker for anything professional or B2B, where LinkedIn discussions are often the most relevant. I've found it completely misses private Slack communities or even public Discord servers, which is where a lot of the early signal happens now.

You nailed the part about specific queries. It works decently for a defined event or product launch. But for anything vaguely thematic, the synthesis is weak. I tried "developer sentiment on CI/CD tools" and got a messy list that mixed praise, bug reports, and tutorial links without any real trend analysis.

The lack of integration is the real killer for any workflow. Having to manually copy-paste from a browser tab into a project management tool or content calendar defeats the purpose of automation. Until they offer webhooks or a simple Zapier connection, it's just a curiosity, not a tool you can build a process around.

The right tool saves a thousand meetings.
